Benita is trying so hard to learn how to whistle and her new book is teaching her how. She is having lots of fun. She knows she will be able to do it, just like the boy in the book named Peter, who never gave up.  She is very grateful for your book, it is a rare opportunity to have such fun books.

Irma is 11 years old and she lives in Guatemala. She is learning lots of things she can do to help her mother. Lectura, the book you sent her, is teaching her many things about life and the world. She loves to read stories and is very grateful for your gift.

Freddy is 10 years old and lives in Guatemala. He received the book you sent, Cómo crece un renacuajo, and is enjoying it very much. He says the book is easy to understand because of the wonderful pictures and the explanations of what is happening. Thank you, Sapo, for your donation. Twenty five desks arrived in Cuncurun, a small village in the Guatemalan highlands. The children were thrilled since the desks are just their size. They had previously been sitting very close together at tables that were far too tall for them. This made their individual work and learning very difficult. Now that they received the desks you donated, they feel blessed and send you a big thank you.

Olga, who lives in El Tesoro, Guatemala, spends long hours weaving her clothes and loves taking a break by going to her community library where she reads books and is learning to use the computer.

She is very happy with the book, “La cara de los cuentos”, that she received through your donation, Flor. She relates to the young girl in the story who weaves just like Olga does.

Bertilia is thrilled with her new book “Animales de Mar.” She is 12 years old and lives in a very remote village called El Tesoro in Guatemala.

Her favorite pastime is going to the small community library to get books. That’s one way that she can discover and learn about new things.
